Characteristics of Customs Clearance
- If one does not have all the required documents for customs clearance, customs clearance may be delayed or taxes may be charged. The shippers must arrive in the country before the cargo arrives in the United States, and it is not necessary to attend the customs directly since our agency will handle customs through documents. The period of customs clearance takes about 7-8 days from the date of document submission to the customs office.

Customs Inspection
Random cargo inspections are carried out by the customs for moving cargo shipped to the United States.

- X-RAY EXAM
Since the September 11 attacks in 2001, basic X-RAY inspections for each container brought into the US are conducted and a separate inspection fee is incurred.

- C.E.T. EXAM
Containers may be designated randomly at customs to be opened in order to inspect the cargo in person, so it is best not to send any items that are not related to moving cargo or prohibited

Vehicles Purchased in the United States
Vehicles registered and operated in the US and then returned to the US after being taken to Korea are eligible for duty-free customs clearance.

Vehicles Purchased in the Republic of Korea
DUTY & TAX will be incurred; the vehicle must be inspected and should pass the inspection standards of the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and DOT (Department of Transportation). If the vehicle does not meet the standards, the vehicle must be remodeled. The client should bear the cost of the inspection, remodeling, and storage that occurs in this case.

For pets, the restrictions have relaxed and you must have a rabies vaccination certificate 30 days before the flight (Up to 180 days later) and a health certificate issued by a veterinarian 10-15 days before departure. LANDED IMMIGRANT
- If you were issued with a permanent resident card for immigration purposes, you can bring your moving cargo free of tax.
- Required Documents: Personal and family passports and permanent resident cards
- Proof documents of stay when you stay in Korea for more than 1 year and are returning to Canada (Proof of immigration, lease/monthly rent contract, employment contract, proof of utility payments, income report, etc.)
- When you first enter Canada, you must fill out the FORM B4E at the airport customs, prepare a packing list, and obtain a customs STAMP in advance. If you do not report in advance, your luggage may be considered as a general cargo and may be subject to tax.
- B4E (This applies when you, as a permanent resident, are receiving your luggage the second time, It is issued at the customs when you first report at the customs)

Canadian Citizens/ Returning Permanent Residents (RETURNING CANADIAN)
Tax-free customs clearance is possible even when you are returning from residing in a foreign country for more than 1 year. Taxes may be imposed if the VALUE of all the moving cargo exceeds USD 10,000.
Required Documents: Personal and family passports, proof documents of stay in Korea for more than 1 year (employment contract, proof of enrollment, housing lease agreement, etc.) FORM B4F filled at the airport customs

Student Visa, Dependent Visa, Work Visa, etc. (TEMPORARY RESIDENTS)
If you have obtained the above visa for more than 1 year in Canada, you qualify for duty-free customs clearance, and you can go through customs without tax once within one year after you enter the country.
Required Documents: Passport, visa, FORM E29B filled at the airport customs, proof of employment (applicable in the case of work visas)
A minor's student visa must be submitted with a parents’ visitor record and the child’s study permit.

Customers immigrating to Canada after marriage
For a person who will get married 3months before or after the date of entry into Canada, used moving cargo and general new products received as wedding gifts can go through customs free of tax; the person should provide marriage certificate within 3 months, and the certificate proving the legal status of the inviting spouse, such as permanent resident card and citizenship.

Note The shippers must arrive before the arrival of the ship, and for customs clearance, the shipper must attend the customs process in person with the required documents. The customs clearance period takes 3-5 days on average from the date of submission of documents to the customs.

Major ports of entry are VANCOUVER, TORONTO, HALIFAX, etc., and containers to Toronto are transported by rail from Vancouver port, so the shipping time may be delayed by 7-10 days when the containers are stacked in Vancouver port.

DUTY & TAX, inspection costs will be incurred for all the vehicles except for those brought into Korea from the Americas and then returned to the Americas.
The required documents are the previous export documentary evidence, ORIGINAL TITLE, passport, and VISA, and the clearance qualification is the same as that of the tax-free clearance of the general moving cargo.
All vehicles brought to the Americas must pass the inspection standards of the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and DOT (The Department of Transportation), except for the case above. If the vehicle fails to meet the standards, it needs to be remodeled. The shipper will cover the vehicle remodeling fee and inspection costs, etc., as well as the accompanying customs warehouse fee.

Pets you are raising can board the plane together..
Please check with your airline regarding this matter, and prepare the transportation container for pets.
Please prepare the rabies vaccination certificate (at least 30 days before the arrival date, up to one year) and a health certificate issued by a veterinarian 10-15 days before departure, and check-in after going through the quarantine procedure at the quarantine station at the airport on the day of departure.

Tax-free customs clearance is available only for diplomats. Customs clearance for moving cargo is possible for a work visa, but tax (under money) will be levied.
The import rates of duty of new products are applied on second-hand cargo products as well to measure taxes in Vietnam. If the products go through formal customs clearance, U $ 2500~3000 worth of taxes may incur for a 20FT container, and inspection fee of about 1500 won per sheet for DVDs, CDs, video tapes, books, etc. will incur.
If you go through customs clearance with under money, you can expect to pay U $ 1000 for a 20FT container.

An excessive amount of alcohol is subject to a high customs duty of 250%.
High taxes will be levied on televisions, stereos, computers, radios, VCRs, recorders, cars, motorcycles, cigarettes, alcoholic beverages, and food.
Cultural items such as CDs, videotapes, and cassette tapes, must go through inspection at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, so it is recommended that the shipper HAND CARRY those items.
Antiques should be reported as imports to the Ministry of Culture.

Diplomats can bring in vehicles tax-free,
and others are almost not allowed to bring in vehicles. Even if it is permitted, about 600% tax rates are applied so you must review the issue thoroughly before shipment.
For two-wheeled vehicles, only new products below 175CC can be brought in.

Pets, such as puppies, cats, and birds that were raised in Korea, can be brought on board to Vietnam.
Before the departure from Korea, you must prepare a health certificate or a rabies vaccination certificate and obtain a quarantine certificate from the animal quarantine office at the airport. The documents required when arriving in Vietnam may slightly differ depending on the airport you arrive, but the animal quarantine certificate is a necessary document in common. If you are bringing pets, please contact the airline you use with accurate information about your pets and the destination AIRPORT before proceeding.

Moving cargo customs clearance in Singapore does not require you to attend the customs procedure but it will be carried out by a local office that you delegated, and the period of customs clearance is 2-3 days from the date of customs document submission.

People with work visas, study visa, permanent resident visa, and citizenship all can be exempt from duties on moving cargo customs clearance.
The shippers must arrive in Singapore before the cargo arrives in Singapore, and must bring in the moving cargo within 6 months after the entry of the shipper to get tax exemption.
After the ship arrives, the container must go through the customs clearance within 3 days, and in case of exceeding 3 days, a storage fee will be levied.
Citizens are required to submit proof of their stay in foreign countries for more than one year.

Because the driver’s seat is on the right, the opposite side, no vehicles can be brought in.

Pets, such as dogs and cats that you have raised in Korea, can be brought into Singapore, and you will need a certificate of vaccination from a veterinarian in Korea and a certificate of quality to prove the origin of your pets.

WORK PERMIT (Work Visa), Diplomat

- All used moving cargoes are exempt from taxes and new and unused goods are subject to taxes.
- If the customs officer decides that it is a new item, the duty of 5% of the item VALUE will be levied.
- Books, literature, videos, CDs, etc. may be brought in by the customs authorities for inspection. These items will be released only if they are approved by the Ministry of Information.
- The shippers must enter the country before cargoes arrive in the United Arab Emirates, and if they submit a power of attorney to a local AGENT, the shippers are not required to attend the customs clearance in person.

The United Arab Emirates is a country that strictly follows the principles of Islamic religion, so alcohol, tobacco, and drugs are strictly prohibited.
All adult articles including books, videos, tapes, literature, paintings, and semi-Islamic literature, newspapers, publications, handouts, firearms, weapons, arrows, bows, military uniforms, ammunition boxes, bullets, harmful articles, fireworks, animal skin and leather, stuffed animals, endangered animals, horns, ivory carvings, ethical, political and religiously controversial literature, pork, Christmas trees, and many other medicines are prohibited.
If the customs officer finds such items are in the consigned items, you will be fined and the items will be confiscated.
In addition, depending on the case, you may be required to cover costs of re-consignment and packing to re-export the items.

Only left-hand drive vehicles that are less than 5 years old and those that have been used for personal use for more than 6 months are eligible for customs clearance.
You must submit the original vehicle registration certificate, the original export certificate you received from the exporting country, a copy of your UAE driver's license, and a passport with your UAE resident visa, at the time of the customs clearance.
The customs officer will set a VALUE for the vehicle through market value, shipping documents, year of manufacture, etc. and you will be charged 5% duty of the vehicle VALUE determined by a customs officer. Customs will issue a VEHICLE CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE (VCC) if the vehicle duty is paid by the shipper. The local AGENT will pick up this VCC at the Customs and the vehicle to the AGENT’s warehouse and deliver it to the shipper.

Dogs and cats less than 4 months old cannot be brought in; you must bring original medical examination certificate and vaccination documents regarding rabies and other diseases.

Qualifications: Anyone who holds a work visa of more than 1 year, residence visa, and diplomatic visa
- Customs Documents: Passport, visa, RESIDENCE PERMIT, power of attorney (with personal signature)
- Diplomats go through customs clearance tax-free, and are required to provide a Diplomat Card, a tax exemption certificate, and Customs Documents Form for diplomats.
- India levies taxes on all moving cargo. The rate of the tax will depend on the duration of the visa.
- If your visa is less than one year (UB), you will receive a 37% tax on all items. If you have more than one year (TR), a 27% tax will apply. If you do not have RESIDENCE PERMIT, even if your visa is more than one year, you will be charged the same tax as UB, so you must get RESIDENCE PERMIT to reduce the amount of your taxes.
- The shippers must arrive in the country before the cargo arrives in India, and must complete the clearance of moving cargoes within one month of entering the country.

The period of customs clearance is 3-5 days from the date of document submission to the customs. The main ports of entry are NEW DELHI, NHAVA SHEVA, CHENNAI, MUMBAI, and CALCUTTA.
It takes about 32-41 days to receive delivery from your home in India from the day you packed in Korea.
The ports in India are generally crowded and slow, so your cargo may be delivered past the estimated shipping time.

You should not mix commercial items with your personal items, and you must go through formal customs clearance procedures with the issued import license.
Liquor is not a prohibited item, but a very high rate (267%-492%) of tax is imposed and can delay customs clearance.

Only right-hand drive vehicles can be brought in and more than 100% of tax will be levied.
It is very difficult to get permission to import the vehicle except for diplomats, so to ship a vehicles is not recommended.

Pets, such as dogs and cats, can be brought to India and you must have a health certificate, a rabies vaccination certificate, a vaccination certificate and an import authorization certificate.

Diplomat

For foreigners
In order to receive duty-free customs clearance, you need a KITAS (residence permit) with an expiry date of more than 12 months left and a work permit with an expiry date of more than 12 months left.
The shippers must arrive before of the arrival of the cargo, and even if you have KITAS/IMTA, if the remaining expiry period is less than 12 months and if 3 months have passed since the date of entry, the tax will be levied unconditionally.
Also, if you do not have all the required documents for customs clearance, the customs will impose a tax and the tax rate will differ according to the lacking part of the Customs Documents.
You do not have to be present in person during the moving cargo customs clearance, and the customs clearance will be carried out by a local partner with your delegation.

For Indonesian nationals
Indonesian nationals who are returning to Indonesia after staying abroad for more than one year are allowed tax-free customs clearance after confirmed at the customs.

The port of entry is JAKARTA, and the shipping time is approximately 24~38 days.

Only the diplomats can import vehicles tax-free; he/she must obtain a letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a duty-free importation certificate from the customs office. Foreigners are not allowed for duty-free customs clearance, and a high tax (300%) will be incurred.

Pets can be brought into Indonesia and must be accompanied by a vaccination certificate and a health certificate issued by a veterinarian in Korea.

Duty-free customs clearance is granted if you have a visa for more than one year, such as a work visa, a student visa, a family visa, a diplomatic visa, or a spousal visa. In addition, duty-free customs clearance is possible only for moving cargoes within six months.

Citizens / Permanent Resident
If you are a citizen or a permanent resident who has been staying for 6 months or longer, you may be granted duty-free customs clearance

Diplomat
If you are a diplomat, you can go through simpler customs clearance at the Korean Consulate stationed in Japan; then, you can send it to your local office in Japan for a quicker customs clearance.

Customs Documents
- For visa holders: a copy of passport, visa, and a page with immigration stamp, and an original declaration form for separately sent goods
- For citizens and permanent residents: Proof of stay in Korea for 6 months or more and a copy of passport

What is the declaration form for separately sent goods?
This is an important document that must be submitted when having your moving cargo go through customs. The document is prepared at the airport or on the plane; you should ask the crew for two copies of the declaration form and fill them the same way. Submit the form with the passport at the immigration when you arrive in Japan, get stamped, submit one copy, and have one copy to submit to our company’s office. Even if you do not have a declaration form for separately sent goods, you can go through moving cargo customs clearance but you will have to fill out much more paperwork and cargo inspection will be carried out, which will delay the customs clearance and some taxes may incur.

The major port of entry is YOKOHAMA, OSAKA, NAGOYA, etc. It takes approximately 13-28 days to be delivered to your home.

Vehicles used in Korea can be shipped to Japan, but must be repaired in accordance with Japanese exhaust gas regulations.
Therefore, it is recommended that you purchase vehicles in Japan rather than consignment because it costs a lot of time and expenses on vehicle inspection and there is no guarantee that it will be allowed to bring in.

Pets can be carried on board and brought to Japan. Pets must be issued a quarantine certificate at the animal quarantine office at the airport by having a health certificate or a certificate of rabies vaccination prepared.
Pets also have to go through a quarantine period of about 14 days after arriving in Japan.

Work and student visa holders of more than one year and diplomats can bring in moving cargoes, but all moving cargoes will be taxed except the diplomat’s. In China, there is a residence permit similar to a visa and in order for your moving cargo to go through the customs, a residence permit must be issued or a receipt of the residence permit must be presented.

Customs Documents
In order to have your moving cargo go through customs clearance, it is necessary to report and get the permission of the import of the moving cargo to the customs office of the jurisdiction of the employer (or school) in advance. Depending on your customs office of the jurisdiction, you must have your original passport, residence permit of one year or more, work certificate (or student ID), and the original documents during the process of reporting and getting permission of the import of your moving cargo must be submitted to the customs office; therefore the shipper must be in China.

Note Taxes are levied on all the cargoes that are brought into China. Even if they are the same products, different rates of taxes may be imposed depending on the port of entry and customs officers. For books or food, the quantity that can be brought in varies depending on the region. Prohibited Items - Firearms, weapons, drugs, psychological products, pornography, satellite receivers, and photocopiers are prohibited.

- Weihai, Yantai, Qingdao area: Pianos or grand pianos not permitted

- Some models of LG DIOS refrigerators are manufactured using linear compression method. They are designed to operate at a certain frequency, so they cannot be used when the HZ (frequency) is different even though the voltage is the same. Please contact the manufacturer of the product before packaging.

Restricted Items
- Seeds, grains, meat (including beef jerky and canned food), dried fish (anchovy, squid) are likely to be confiscated and books and food may be restricted depending on the region. Only small amount of liquor and food can be brought in if you are residing in Shanghai.
- Please note that if you have more than one same TV, two-door refrigerator, golf clubs, you will be subject to a large amount of taxes and will be suspected of having commercial cargo.

Vehicles that have been used can be transported as a moving cargo, but import licenses for vehicles are very difficult to obtain except for diplomats.
The private cars can go through import customs clearance only at SHANGHAI, XINGANG, DALIAN PORT, and the vehicle should have a left-hand steering wheel, 5 seats or less, and the air conditioner in the car should not be the Freon type. You should have the details of the vehicle (vehicle name, the name of the manufacturing company, production year, engine number, vehicle identification number, displacement, etc.), get confirmation from the relevant customs office of China, and proceed with the remaining procedure. Customs will check the detailed information of the car, measure the used price randomly and charge you with a tax amount of 70% of the used car price.

The pets you raised in Korea can be carried on board and brought to China. You should prepare a health certificate, a vaccination certificate, a rabies vaccination certificate, etc. and get a quarantine certificate at the animal quarantine office in the airport building.

Immigration, Student, Expatriates
You must submit passport (original)-including entry stamp, residence permit, CUSTOMS FORM DA304 & PI160 to customs.

Citizens
If you prove that you lived overseas for 6 months, you can get tax-free customs clearance.

Diplomats
For diplomats, duty-free customs clearance is possible with the DIPLOMATIC CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE (Diplomatic Duty Exemption Application) and the list of items confirmed by the resident ambassador of South Africa and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

You must arrive in the country at least 10 days in advance to begin your customs clearance.
You are not required to attend the customs in person when importing moving cargoes, and customs clearance will be carried out at the local office of Annex with the delegation of the shippers.
If the shippers do not have the Customs Documents ready at the time of arrival of the ship, they will be required to pay a tax of 50% of the declared value.
In South Africa, it is necessary for you to enter in advance to fill out Customs Documents as soon as possible due to the high cost of bonded warehouses such as DEMURRAGE and DETENTION.

Note You must arrive in the country at least 10 days before the customs clearance.
South Africa is a country where all expenses are high including the cost of containers demurrage and detention, bonded warehouses, etc.
Therefore, you should prepare Customs Documents as early as possible by entering the country early enough to prevent additional charges due to delays in customs clearance.

The period of customs clearance is 5 to 7 days from the date of document submission to the customs office, and it is possible to deliver the shipment to your home in all areas of South Africa. The main port of entry is Durban, Cape Town and there are schedules for entry into Johannesburg and Pretoria as well.

- Drugs, obscene books, magazines, radios, animal skin, feathers, and ivory of the protected animals

- You must obtain an import certificate for liquors from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and DUTY and TAX must be paid.

Left-hand drive vehicles are not permitted.
Only permanent residents are allowed to send vehicles. If not, you will be required to pay 50% of the vehicle purchase price to the customs office until you receive permanent residency. You have to submit the import approval certificate (issued by PRETORIA's Ministry of Industry and Trade, the import and export station) and the power of attorney (apply for it at the South African Standards Association), purchase receipt, insurance certificate and automobile registration certificate before the ship arrives.
However, the car must be used for more than one year, and cannot be sold or transferred for two years after the import.
- The price of the vehicle will be appropriated by adding the 10% foreign currency change rate and then 14% VAT is incurred as well.
- For the RETURNING RESIDENCE, FULL DUTY & TAX will be levied if you cannot prove that you will stay for a certain period of time and then go back
- Diplomats must obtain DIPLOMATIC CERTIFICATE FOR CAR, just like Customs Documents for moving cargoes.

You must obtain a medical examination certificate and proof of vaccination against rabies, etc., and obtain an import permit.

Student visas, investment visas, expatriates, diplomats and all other visas can go through customs clearance, but the remaining visa period should be more than one year. In addition, you should go through customs clearance within 3 months of new issuance date of the visa.
Minors do not qualify for duty-free or customs clearance. If you are not eligible for customs clearance, the tax will be appropriated according to the amount of baggage.

Investor Visa
After applying for tax exemption from the investment authority and receiving the approval, you need to be reauthorized by the Ministry of Finance reauthorizes it to go through customs clearance.

Retirement Visa
After getting approval from the retirement authority and receiving approval from the Ministry of Finance, you can go through customs clearance. You need to have the original passport and retirement visa ID card if you qualify conditions of applying within 90 days of the visa issuance and within 90 days of your entry to the Philippines from Korea, and go through the customs clearance.

Diplomat
You must obtain tax exemption approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, go to the Ministry of Finance for tax exemption approval again, and then go through the customs clearance.

Work visa & PEZA visa
This is a visa for foreigners working in free export zones. You must have an employment contract in English, a certificate of employment, a 90 day or less old visa at the time of customs clearance, an ACR (Alien Registration Card), and original passport within 90 days of entering the Philippines. If you do not have all the required documents for customs clearance, you will have to pay tax and the tax will differ depending on the goods the shipper brings in. The shippers must arrive in the country before the cargo arrives in the Philippines and the cargo must arrive within 6 months of the shippers’ arrival. You do not have to attend the customs clearance in person, and the local office of Annex will carry out the customs clearance with the delegation of the shippers. The customs clearance period will take 4-5 days from the date of document submission to the customs.

Philippines Nationals
Filipino nationals returning after staying overseas for more than one year can go through import customs clearance after confirming their legal domicile customs.

Russia levies duty on all moving goods except for diplomats. (Approximately 4 euros / KG) The moving cargo duties must be paid before the cargo arrives at the Moscow terminal.

Short-term visa holders, citizens and permanent residents who did not enter with a travel visa and are allowed to stay longer than 6 months are allowed to be exempt from taxation regardless of their visa status. The C3 FORM must be filled by the shipper personally so you can mail it or visit the company’s agent office. You do not have to attend the customs clearance process personally and the local agent will carry out the customs clearance process with your delegation of documents. You must arrive before the arrival of your cargo, and you must submit accurate information such as your destination address, contacts, and family information to get customs clearance approval.
Customs clearance is usually done by document screening, and containers can be open randomly for inspection.

If you owned your vehicle for more than 6 months, you can get tax free clearance if you have a student, immigration or expatriate visa.
Required Documents are vehicle registration certificate (translated into English and certified by the Korean Embassy in the UK), insurance (certifying ownership of 6 months or more), C104A FORM ( the purpose of vehicle import, the possibility of re-export after the stay), and residence certificate for at least one year.
In order to inspect the car after customs clearance, a test drive is allowed from the customs clearance to the garage but you must be insured; a container fee and Demurrage Charge may be incurred during the registration period.
You cannot transfer or sell your vehicle within one year after import customs clearance.

In the UK, it is best not to bring pets. Unlike other parts of Europe, pets are not allowed to enter the country with their guardians so pets have to be sent as cargo at the time of immigration quarantine in the U.K.
You also need a pre-import permit and quarantine for 6 months at the animal quarantine post.

Permanent Residents: If you are a permanent resident, you can go through customs several times within 5 years. After 5 years, only if you stay in Korea for more than 21 months, you will be granted tax-free customs clearance.
Citizens: If you prove that you lived overseas for 6 months, you can get tax-free customs clearance.
Diplomats: For diplomats, duty-free customs clearance is possible with the DIPLOMATIC CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE (Diplomatic Duty Exemption Application) and the list of items confirmed by the ambassador of New Zealand and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of New Zealand. You must arrive at least 10 days in advance to begin your customs clearance.
You are not required to attend the customs procedure in person when importing moving cargo and customs clearance will be carried out at the local office of Annex with the delegation of the shippers.
If the shippers do not have customs documents ready at the time of arrival of the ship, they will be required to pay a tax of 50% of the declared value.
In South Africa, bonded warehouse fees including DEMURRAGE AND DETENTION are costly, so it is best for you to enter the country as soon as possible and fill out customs documents.

All vehicles can be consigned but you must confirm first if import customs clearance is possible with the vehicle identification number before consignment.
12.5% GST (GOOD & SERVICE TAX, goods service tax) will be levied. In addition, additional inspection expenses and incidental expenses will be incurred.

In New Zealand, it is best not to bring pets. Pets are not allowed to enter the country with their guardians so pets have to be sent as cargo. You must pay GST (GOOD & SERVICE TAX, commodity service tax) and transaction fee on pets as well, and need to get an imported animal certificate.
Microchip transplantation and immunization on rabies vaccination will be conducted and after that, you will receive import certificate. Even after the entry into New Zealand, various inspections will be carried out and your pets will be placed in quarantine for more than 10 days at the mooring.

- Student/Study Abroad Visa (1 year or less): Duty-free customs clearance is not possible under the law, but for small cargoes of quantities less than 3CBM, duty-free customs clearance is possible.
- Work visa(1 year or more): If the remaining visa period is more than one year from the arrival date, you will be granted tax exemption clearance.
- Permanent resident/citizens: Depending on the quantity of cargo, you must have lived in Korea for at least 6 months to be granted with tax-free clearance.
Permanent residents must send the goods within one year of receiving the permanent residency, and if they send the goods after that one year, they must submit a written explanation to the customs office. For the goods first arriving within 6 months of the permanent residency acquirement, immigration details of entry and departure are required.
- Diplomats: You can submit an application for tax exemption approval to customs.

Note If you do not have the necessary documents for customs clearance, about 25% of tax and GST (GOOD & SERVICE TAX) will be imposed. All moving cargoes coming into Australia go through an inspection procedure called AQIS (AUSTRALIAN QUARANTINE AND INSPECTION SERVICE), and all the containers will be inspected once or twice. The first round of inspection will be X-ray inspection for the container to be screened and the second round of inspection will be conducted on the randomly selected containers; the average period of customs clearance is 7~10 days.
Items that are of greatest interest during quarantine are shoes, golf clubs, bicycles and outdoor items that may contain food or soil.
You are not required to attend the customs in person when importing the moving goods and the local office will carry out customs clearance with the delegation of the shippers.

- Kimchi refrigerators cannot go through customs clearance if it has not been used for more than 1 year (because of gas and compressor, clearance is not possible)
- Of the LG products such as refrigerator, Kimchi refrigerator, etc., there are some models with linear compression methods that do not work. Please check with the service center in advance.

For domestic vehicles, it is possible to bring in the vehicles as a moving cargo to Australia, but an import certificate must be obtained from an Australian agency in advance.
To receive a vehicle import authorization, it is necessary to remodel the vehicle in accordance with the Australian automobile regulations that use right-hand handle; also the customs clearance tax is very high. In addition, as a part of Australia's environmental protection laws, imported vehicles with air-conditioners filled with CFC refrigerants are prohibited, and it costs about AUD1,000 or more (23-28%, $2-3,000, quarantine fee $1000), so it may be better for you to purchase in Australia rather than bring it in.

Because Australia had no outbreak of rabies, it is one of the most challenging countries to take in pets.
Pets are not allowed to enter the country with their guardians so pets have to be sent as cargo. It takes 6 months or more to bring pets from Korea to Australia. You must have a microchip implanted, rabies vaccinations and combined vaccination for your pets.
After 1 month, the rabies antibody is tested and you have to wait for 180 days from the date of blood collection; when the result of the inspection comes out, you will be issued an import permit and can proceed to make reservations for the mooring. After the disease check-up and internal and external parasite treatments are completed, you can leave the country after domestic quarantine. After entry, pets will be handed over to guardians after 10 days probation and observation at the mooring.

Brazilian customs clearance is available for Brazilian citizens/permanent residents who have lived in a foreign country for more than one year, foreigners with temporary visa or permanent visa, and diplomats. Diplomats are allowed for moving cargo customs clearance.

In addition, the moving cargoes must arrive in Brazil within 6 months. Customs clearance is usually conducted through document screening, and customs inspections are carried out at random on the containers. However, if an inspection is carried out, an inspection fee may be incurred.
All documents must be written in Portuguese and notarized, and the packing list, which is a shipping list, must be in Portuguese.
The HS code in the BODY part of B/L should be written as 9797 and the local partner CNJP number (business registration certificate) must be written as well.

Vehicles and motorcycles are not permitted and only if you are a diplomat and an international organization worker, vehicles are allowed.

Pets less than 5KG can be on board and transported.
Required Documents are a health certificate from a veterinarian (a veterinarian's CRVM STAMP number must be indicated), a vaccination certificate (a rabies vaccination must be inoculated before 30 days), and an International Animal Health Certificate.

Personal items, furniture, household goods, etc. that foreigners or Mexican nationals residing overseas used for at least of 6 months can be brought in as a moving cargo and can be granted tax-free customs clearance. MEXICO visa (RESIDENTE TEMPORAL) is required for import customs clearance and if you do not have the Mexican visa, the import customs clearance cannot be conducted.
Citizens: If you can prove that you lived overseas for 6 months, you can be granted tax-free custom clearance.
Diplomats: Diplomats will be granted duty-free customs clearance with the DIPLOMATIC CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE (Diplomatic Duty Exemption Application) and the list of items confirmed by the ambassador and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Mexico.
Based on the Revised Immigration Act from 19th of November 2012, the visa will be issued in the form of digital card named by RESIDENTE TEMPORAL. RESIDENTE TEMPORAL is a pre-requisite in order to proceed import clearance in Mexico and also can be carried out without a Cargo visa if you have this. However, it can’t be carried out the import clearance with the Short-term visa (RESIDENCIA TEMPORAL) and the Cargo visa(CERIFICADO A LISTA DE MENAJE DE CASA) indicated in the passport received at the Mexican Embassy in Korea. It will take about 1~2 months after application of visa.

Customs Documents
1. Foreigners
- Copy of passport - RESIDENTE TEMPORAL You must obtain a DIGI from the Immigration Office in Mexico after you have been issued a visa for your purpose at the Mexican Embassy. This visa is required for customs clearance.

2. Citizens/Permanent Residents
- FM1(Immigrant-IMMIGRADO) or FM2(Permanent Resident – IMMIGRANTE)
- Original VISA DE MENAJE DE CASE (Visa for cargoes)
- Please apply for the certificate at the Embassy of Mexico in Korea. Then, contact the embassy about the qualification and required documents.
- C.U.R.P (Mexican Resident Registration Number)

Note You must enter the country before the container arrives at the port of Mexico. If the customs clearance documents are insufficient, the customs clearance will not be conducted and if 5 days have passed since the arrival, the customs warehouse fee and shipping container fee will be incurred.
The customs will inspect the entire cargo by carrying out 100% pre-inspection before the clearance of the moving cargoes.
Please note that if your cargo is found with items that are prohibited, the cargo cannot pass the customs clearance, and the cargo will be confiscated and you will be fined with high penalties.

In Mexico’s customs clearance, moving cargoes will all be inspected before customs clearance. Moving cargo is a special personal cargo that is not subject to taxation. If prohibited Items are found in the cargo, it cannot go through customs clearance, will be confiscated, disposed of, and shipped back. Please make sure not to put any prohibited items (including food, medicines, liquor, new products-toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, detergent, household goods, firearms, inappropriate literature).
In addition, there is a possibility of loss or damage to cargo during full inspection. Please make sure to hand carry items, especially expensive luxurious watches, bags, gold, silver, jewelry, wallets, sunglasses, fountain pens, cameras, laptops, external hard drives, etc.
Please do not pack any of the prohibited items listed below in your cargo.

1. Food
- Everything that a person can eat or drink, spices and seasonings needed to make food
- Vacuum packed foods (All products that are vacuum packed (including finished products such as ramen, noodles & other dried side dishes, canned products)
- All processed food (side dishes, squid, other dried fish)
- All agricultural and aquatic products
- All spices needed for cooking
- General confectionery and sweets
- Liquor
- All kinds of other food not listed above but can be consumed by people.

2. Medicines (Including medical devices)
- All kinds of medicines that people can drink, drink, or use (general medicines, pain relief patches, ointments, creams, bandages, general home first aid kit, etc.) For the record, the first aid kit cases at home can only be put in the cargo as long as they do not contain medicines.
- Health supplements are also considered as medicines in Mexico (ginseng products, herbal medicines, vitamins, etc.)
- Quasi-drugs (all medicines that are not classified as actual medicines but can be consumed, ingested or externally applied)
- All kinds of medical devices (syringes, medical devices for treatment, cupping devices, etc.)

3. New Products (Products that have never been used will be considered as new)
- General furniture (All kinds of furniture that can be used at home as closet, bookcase, cabinet, etc.)
- General household necessities (All kinds of household necessities including toilet paper, soap, shampoo, laundry powder soap, kitchen necessities, etc.)
- General electronics (All kinds of electronics used at home including TV, refrigerator, washing machine, etc.) For electronics, even if the new package is gone, but when there is no trace of use on the plug at all (If the product was plugged into the wall outlet at least once, it can be visually identified because the ground part is black due to friction with electricity.)
- All other products that are not listed but which, as judged by the customs, may be considered new

Other firearms, swords, other explosive chemicals, illegal inappropriate books and videos, cultural assets, expensive antiques and art

If any one of the above-mentioned cargoes is mixed with the moving cargo, customs clearance cannot be carried out according to the normal schedule. Also, customs clearance will be delayed, the products will be confiscated, and you will be fined heavily. Due to this series of procedures, additional costs (DEMURRAGE, STORAGE, PORT EXTRA CHARGE, etc.) will be incurred.

Vehicles you have used in Korea can be brought in temporarily.
(TEMPORARY IMPORTATION) You must attend the MANZANILLO Customs personally and follow the procedures for importing the vehicle. Because it is a temporary import, you have to get permission to operate the car every year, it cannot be sold locally, and you have to take it back to Korea when returning.
In the case of provisional imports, MEXICO National Bank (called BANJERCITO) must approve the import and in order to give you the approval, the container must be opened for customs inspection.
Imported vehicles will go through the customs clearance after you pay for inspection fee to MEXICO National Bank (BANJERCITO), request and get approved again, and obtain the import permission certificate.

Documents required when attending customs for vehicle import

- Original PURCHASE INVOICE under your name
- Original vehicle registration certificate under your name
- Copy of driver’s license

It is possible to bring in a vehicle, but the procedure is difficult and the customs clearance takes a long time, so we recommend that you first send us a copy of your vehicle documents (a copy of vehicle purchase invoice, copy of vehicle registration certificate, and copy of driver's license), and proceed after a thorough review.

You can bring your pets to Mexico as long as you have the health certificate and vaccination certificate issued within 7 days of arrival

In France, duty-free customs clearance is granted to short-term visas (long-stay visas not for travel purposes), citizens, and permanent residents, regardless of their visas. Citizens are required to submit proof of residency for at least one year in non-EU countries other than basic customs documents. When the shippers haven’t entered the country, the customs clearance cannot be conducted due to the lack of required documents for clearance. When all documents are prepared and ready to be submitted, the customs clearance can be progressed.
You are not required to attend the customs clearance procedures in person, and the local partner can conduct the process with the delegation of the shippers.

- Firearms, swords, explosive weapons, illegal books and videos, cultural assets, high-priced antiques, counterfeits, tobacco, animals and plants, food (food without hygienic censorship)
- Electronics that do not have a safety inspection certificate (CE or NF mark) approved by France and Europe regions are not allowed to be imported. You can get customs clearance if you get a certificate from the manufacturer that you can use it for European distribution and submit the original certificate. Electronics of linear compression type will not work so it is recommended that you do not bring it with you.

France is prohibited from the tax exemption for vehicles. Vehicles for personal use only are permitted and can be registered only if they comply with the safety standards that must be observed in France, including exhaust criteria, blinker colors, size of the rearview mirror, etc. The required documents are vehicle registration certificate (original, with customs seal), original receipt (notarized by the French embassy in Korea), and residence certificate all notarized in French.
- For car imports, there is usually a tax of 3,000~4,000 euros.

- Value Added Taxes (TAXES) = 19.6 % of Vehicle Purchasing Amount +Transporting Fee+DUTY

You can bring your pets to France and when you bring the health certificate that your pets have received the preventive vaccine, animal quarantine certificate and registration certificate under the French Health Hygiene Law. Please contact and consult with the airline you are using for accurate information about the pets before proceeding.

If you have a student visa, work visa, immigrant visa, etc. for more than 1 year, you can be granted tax-free customs clearance as long as you do not have any special high-priced items. Before the cargo arrives in the port of Malaysia, the shippers must arrive in the country, and the shippers will not be attending the customs procedure in person when the moving cargoes go through customs; rather, a local partner will conduct the procedure with the delegation of the shippers.

In Kuala Lumpur, you can easily move overseas with a copy of your passport, but you will need a copy of your visa such as student visa/work permit/MM2H (retirement visa)/guardian visa in the areas of Penang and Kuching during your customs clearance.

Vehicles can be shipped to Malaysia and the required documents for customs clearance are import permits, approvals, vehicle registration forms, and contracts from Malaysian Ministry of Trade.
Vehicle tax is calculated based on CIF VALUE and used price by inspection and evaluation of customs inspectors during customs inspection, so the taxed value is much more than the average vehicle purchasing prices. Therefore, it is recommended for you to consider purchasing a vehicle in Malaysia rather than bringing it from Korea.

Pets, such as puppies and cats that were raised in Korea, can be brought into Malaysia, and the required documents are a quarantine document issued by the Korea Animal Quarantine Service and a certificate of vaccination; also, you must report to the local quarantine station in Malaysia. Also, after entering the country, the pets must spend more than seven days at the mooring for probation period; then, they will be handed over to the guardian. Reservations for the mooring must be made at least 2 weeks in advance. Please contact and consult with the airline you are using for accurate information about the pets before proceeding.
