Characteristics of Customs Clearance
- If one does not have all the required documents for customs clearance, customs clearance may be delayed or taxes may be charged. The shippers must arrive in the country before the cargo arrives in the United States, and it is not necessary to attend the customs directly since our agency will handle customs through documents. The period of customs clearance takes about 7-8 days from the date of document submission to the customs office.

Note The customs documents above must be submitted to customs before the ship arrives, so one must leave the country in advance before the ship arrives, and prepare and pass on Customs Documents in accordance with the guidance of our agency. If one fails to file customs documents on time, customs clearance may be delayed or unnecessary costs may occur.
Cargo sent to the United States must go through the AMS (American customs declaration) procedures 72 hours before the departure of the ship, so one must send one’s passport and visa to our company in advance.

Customs Inspection
Random cargo inspections are carried out by the customs for moving cargo shipped to the United States.

- X-RAY EXAM
Since the September 11 attacks in 2001, basic X-RAY inspections for each container brought into the US are conducted and a separate inspection fee is incurred.

- C.E.T. EXAM
Containers may be designated randomly at customs to be opened in order to inspect the cargo in person, so it is best not to send any items that are not related to moving cargo or prohibited
Shipping Time
In the western region of the U.S., most containers are brought in via LONG BEACH port; in the central region, containers are brought in via LONG BEACH or CHICAGO; in the eastern part containers are brought in via NEW YORK port and local delivery service is provided.
